Survey

The law states ‘it is illegal to share ‘a private sexual film or photograph’ without the knowledge of the person shown and with the intention of causing them embarrassment or distress.’

The results of this anonymous and confidential survey will help Julia Mulligan, the North Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner, gain an understanding of why there is an apparent lack reporting of revenge porn (image based sexual abuse, as it is officially known) to the police, how well they and others, deal with cases once they’re reported and help provide insight on the low numbers of prosecutions.

We also want to know how important anonymity (not being publicly named) is to you in reporting and prosecuting this crime.

We want to hear DIRECTLY from victims about their experience.
